|Historical||According to her probate, she was living at the King Edward Hotel at the time of her death. The hotel was heavily damaged by fire and closed three years later. The site was later incorporated into Alexandra House.
E. R. Belilios died on November 11, 1905 at age 67 in London. He is buried in Golders Green Jewish Cemetery, Barnet, Greater London.
Sema and E. R. are the subjects of the book, “The House of Wives”, by Simon Choa-Johnston, who is the great-grandson of E. R.’s second wife, Li Wei In. The story, however, is heavily fictionalised.
