Boris (b. February 29, 1892, Stretinsk, Siberia; d. October 28, 1962, Yokohama, Japan) was the president of the Shanghai Russian Ashkenazi Jewish Community during the Japanese occupation of the city. He was arrested by the Japanese military police and sent to the Bridge House Prison for ten months where he was tortured. He is buried in the Yokohama Foreign General Cemetery. |
