In Mabel’s birth announcement in 1904, the family is reported to be living at “The Den”, Castle Steps. The family immigrated to Canada around 1905, living in Edmonton for a time. His sister, Rebecca Beatrice Silas, was married to the son of Rachel Haskell (2G3) and her husband, David.
