Her maternal grandfather, Elias Joseph David Ezra, was the half-brother of Sima Belilios (2A6) and the builder of the Magen David Synagogue in Calcutta. Her great-grandfather, Sir David Joseph Bahar Ezra, co-founded the Beth El Synagogue in Calcutta.
