Maurice was awarded with many honours for his longstanding service (rising to the rank of Assistant Commissioner) to the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force and then to the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force including the Colonial Police Medal for Meritorious Service (1961), the Queen’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (1973), and a Member of the Order of the British Empire (1973).

Abe worked for MGM Films in Tianjin in the 1940s.

A family member wrote on March 6, 2019:
“Aaron Gotfried was an officer on the Russian army and was killed by the Bolsheviks in 1920, presumably in Russia.

“Maurice had one son (Kenneth) with Alice and two sons (Richard and Michael) with Ida. Richard died as a young child. Michael died in Hong Kong. He was a pilot [for Cathay Pacific], married and divorced. His son is married and lives in Australia.”
