| Historical |
His funeral took place on August 25 at St. John’s Cathedral. His father’s name is spelled incorrectly. It should be יאנקל. A Yaakov Chilik is buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Iasi, Romania. He died in 1897 at age 62. His wife’s name was Leah. Could this be Samuel’s father? (Yankel is the Yiddish form of Yaakov.) |
